As the demand for advanced user interface continues to evolve, EDT is proud to present the newest innovation in capacitive touch technologies. Introducing EDT PolyTouch™, capacitive touch solution, an alternative to touch sensory design that is both easy to implement and highly reliable. Unlike traditional resistive touch panels, EDT PolyTouch™ technology utilizes unique structural design that omits the need for sensory film, allowing a much more durable composition and wider operating environments. Additionally, through the use of special coating process, each EDT PolyTouch™ design can be decorated directly without the need of extra cover lens overlay, so that performance for both optical and functional properties will remain superb and accurate.

Elegant, yet convenient, EDT PolyTouch™ series is an excellent touch solution complementary to visual medium for any design. Equipped with various pre-installed functions and commands, each PolyTouch™ panel can be easily integrated and made compatible with either existing or newly developed system for fast implementation and development. Standard EDT design offers single touch and multi touch alternatives. Both maybe standardized or customized and be integrated as part of the LCM design. Compatible among TFT, Mono and CSTN, EDT’s PolyTouch™ series is the perfect solution for excellent visual display and user interaction requirements.

Similar to single touch technology, multi-touch capacitive touch panel utilizes the disturbance of capacitance between touch panel surface and user contact to trigger signal activation.
Unlike single touch design, however, multi-touch panel further expands this concept with increase functionality, so that different gestures can be used to issue more complex commands, such as sliding, zooming, rotating, etc. With increase of sensitivity, hand-writing function can also be utilized as part of the user input alternatives. |
