Our Story

Since 1994, EDT (Emerging Display Technologies Corp.) has been innovating in the visual interface industry. Founded by two passionate engineering students in Taiwan, we have grown into a leading global provider of display solutions, offering exceptional Quality, Technology, Service, and Value to our partners worldwide.

As display technology evolved, so did we. From our early focus on monochrome displays, we quickly expanded into TFT display modules, and were among the pioneers in adopting capacitive touch technology. Today, we provide complete TFT with capacitive touch solutions that integrate cover lens, touch panels, and MCU embedded boards for more value-added integrated solutions.

More than just a touch display manufacturer, EDT is now a full-fledged UMI (User Machine Interface) solution provider. Unlike the conventional HMI (Human Machine Interface) approach, we envision interfaces designed for both humans and future robots or AI systems. While many search for HMI solutions, we proudly lead the future with UMI – a smarter evolution of HMI.

With headquarters in Taiwan, EDT offers advanced, customizable embedded display modules, including our Smart Embedded® solutions. Our broad product portfolio includes standard and custom TFT display solutions, delivering flexibility for diverse industries including medical, industrial, automotive, and smart appliances.

Operation Strategy

We have embraced a multi-faceted strategy which includes richly cultivating integration of various technologies and adding product solutions for the value market segment. Step by step, we continuously have been establishing lean production with low volume-high mix capabilities, and maximizing the utilization of resources to make strides in an important core value, “waste elimination”. Additionally, we are evolving to support the latest quality certifications and to promote contemporary management systems. During the first phase, we established MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to achieve optimization of manufacturing quality and Pull-APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) to promote manufacturing efficiency. Both systems (MES & Pull-APS) complement each other to achieve lean manufacturing objectives while maintaining high quality and advancing efficiency.
