- Can I use Modbus communication protocol on Smart Embedded products?
Yes, as either a custom idea for EDT or by implementation of the customer.
- Does Smart Embedded support web-server?
Yes.
- Does Smart Embedded support WiFi or Bluetooth/BLE?
We can support BLE and SD card on EVK070019A / EVK101008 / EVK070016 expansion boards. Wifi and BLE will be released on device boards in 2021/Q2
- Does Smart Embedded support video?
Yes, with the STM32H750/JPEG HW decoder video is supported.The maximum video resolution is determined by product specifications.
- Does Smart Embedded Modules support in-field application update/upgrade?
Yes, EDT has developed bootloaders to make in-field upgrade via serial interfaces, USB memory stick, or SD-Card possible. Smaller updates are possible over the web.
- Does this mean I do not need to access the .ioc file?
Basically you do not need the .ioc file. All I/O ports can be modified in the software we provide.

- Where can I obtain the STM32 CubeMX .ioc file for the Smart Embedded module I purchased?
All I/O ports can be modified in the software we provide so customers do not need the .ioc file.
- Where can I find example programs and sample code for SPI, GPIO and RS232 etc?
We have developed templates for GPIO, SPI, I2C, RS232/ RS485(interupt controlled), and USB_CDC class. Please contact us after you purchase a Smart Embedded module and we can send you a download link.
- Which IDE can I use with Smart Embedded? *IDE (Integrated Development Environment,整合開發環境)
EDT supports IDE’s based on GCC, IAR Embedded Workbench, and is starting to support STM32Cube IDE. IAR Embedded Workbench is paid software, but STM32Cube IDE and some IDE’s based on GCC are free.
